This Glenglassaugh Single Malt Whisky was aged in ex Sherry casks, so it has rich, fruity flavours intermingled with barley sugar and toffee oak flavours.
Because it's cask strength it has plenty of flavour and it surprisingly smooth for the higher alcohol content.
This whisky was a special bottling, exclusively for Austrlalia- the first of it's kind as it's a vintage and at cask strength - hopefully the first of many.
Colour- Rich Gold
Nose: Sticky Toffee, Chocolate and caramelised peach.
Flavours: Brown Sugar, Sultana Syrup and Toasted Raisin Bread
If you like sherry cask aged whiskies, you will love this one.
