This Paul John distillery is in Goa, India. While it is situated in the 'cool' mountains, it is still way warmer than many whisky making countries and so the whiskies mature faster and in a different way bringing a new and refreshing take on the Scotch style whisky.
This whisky is made with Indian malted barley which is twice distilled in copper pots stills and then aged in freshly emptied Kentucky USA bourbon barrels.
The flavours from this mix of traditional production in a new climate brings refreshing flavour twists that will delight.
