Islay's historic lighthouse island, Eileen Mor is the name this Finlaggan expression. The island is noted for the mysterious disappearance of 3 lighthouse keepers on the island in 1900. From an undisclosed Islay distillery.
Eileen Mor delivers a nose of salty sea breeze, burning leaves and a touch of antiseptic. Sweet peat smoke. Medicinal notes with a touch of sea salt.
The palate is rather intensely peated with spicy hints of black pepper. Full bodied with spicy peat
smoke. Tar and iodine. Light oiliness and sweet malt. Wonderfully mouth filling
The finish has smoking embers. Long and drying slightly.
Finlaggan is a very decent peated Islay Scotch Whisky at a nice price.
