Mortlach 20yo 43.4% 750ml

This is the oldest of three Mortlach single malts unveiled in mid-2018 (the others being Mortlach 12yo and Mortlach 16yo), this expression has been matured for 20 years exclusively in sherry casks, which has produced some Intensely flavoursome whisky. This rich and beautiful single malt whisky is made from the barrels deemed to be of exceptional quality from the Mortlach reserves.

In 1909, Alexander Cowie used his most rare and special aged stock to create his own private release –a whisky he called Cowie’s Blue Seal, a symbol representing the utmost quality. The barrels he chose were what he considered the best of the best-the select few among the brilliant Mortlach reserves –these were the stocks he deemed worthy of the “Blue Seal.”
